Two butterflies dancing

From my diary. This series of work is some of the only photography I have been able to do the past year, what ended up as an unplanned study of my home and the moments around me during this time of lockdowns. One thing I have noticed, or perhaps it’s because I am spending much more time outside, is that there seem to be more butterflies than usual.

On one stifling afternoon in the dog days of summer 2020, these two appeared, dancing around each other and around me. I was lucky to have my camera on hand and photographed them mid-dance.
